The Wedding Service is going to take place at 2pm at Holy Trinity Church on Platt Lane in Rusholme, South Manchester.  Everyone is very welcome to join us for the service itself.  Holy Trinity is a pretty big church but it may be an idea to get there in good time anyway.  More information on how to find it is available on the "Holy Trinity Church" page.  This is where we will actually do the "Marriage" bit.  We'll say our vows, exchange the rings, sign the forms and all the important bits that mean we'll depart the church as husband and wife.

We'll also hear from the Bible.  As Christians, both of us believe that the almighty God who made the whole world clearly speaks to his people through the Bible.  In the Bible, God tells us about him, about ourselves and how we relate to him. As we prepare to be married to each other, we want to see what God says to us ... and everyone else.  As part of the service one of our friends, John Hindley, will be helping us to understand a short passage from the Bible.

There will be some prayers too.  Prayer is a massive privilege for God's people - to come and speak to the God who made us and everything in this world and commit our lives and our marriage to him - what an incredible thing!

We'll also have some songs.  We're all used to singing someone or something's praises - whether gigs and concerts, sporting events or just metaphorically.  We believe in a God who is so much more worthy of our praise than footballers or bands.  We have lots of friends who are talented musicians and they'll lead some singing.  We want everyone to feel free to join in or not - as you see fit.  We don't want anyone to sing anything they don't want to.

After the Wedding service there will be the photos - please do hang around - especially for the everyone photo - it will be such an encouragement to see everyone who came along to support us and celebrate our marriage with us.  We'll also have the extended family photos, friends and so on and so forth ...

Tea, Coffee & Cake ... Straight away after the first few photos, we'll have refreshments available.  If you can stay for a cup of tea, coffee or squash and some cake in the Church Hall, everyone would be very welcome.

The Reception will be taking place from around 5:30 or 6pm at St Kentigern's Social Club.  This is accessible from both Hart Road and Wilbraham Road in Fallowfield.  It's a short walk through Platt Fields park from the church (10-15 mins) and about 2 minutes drive.  For directions, please see the "St. Kentigern's" page.  There will be a buffet tea, with puddings.  We'll also have the speeches and some live jazz music before we depart.

Please do stay in touch with us after the Wedding and do check back here for photos of the day!
